The walls fell long ago
No dogs to guard the gates
The bare trees line the road
That took me far from home
Inner demons paraded invitingly
Spinning tales of adventure and ecstasy
Beckoned me when I said, "Set me free"
"I don't need this, I don't need you"
I lived to regret those words
The pain you never deserved
Looking past all I had for a chance to be
All the things that I thought I deserved to be
I had my chance but I was too blind to see
Too blind to see the love you gave so freely to me
The walls fell long ago
No dogs to guard the gates
The bare trees line the road
That took me far from home
Lonely river of pain washing over me
And the sourness of days creeping endlessly
Only now seeing what you mean to me

The absolute pinnacle of modern British progressive rock. The loss of David Longdon is a huge blow, but this band has the talent to carry on. This album was my introduction to them and is so melodic and memorable to be so intricately arranged and performed. scarroll007

Every time I think I’ve uncovered all the hidden gems I find another one, this is fine music. This band has two other more recent releases not available on Bandcamp, also amazing. Kind of a mix of genres with the post rock backbone I enjoy so much, very talented! Deej
